Faith-Driven Resilience: The Power of Ruthless Simplification

Faith-Driven Resilience: The Power of Ruthless Simplification

    Stay in the Game

Hey friends — Chad Earhart here with another Time Tip Tuesday from Fog to Focus. This week, I’ve been reflecting deeply on the spiritual and emotional grit required to stay the course. I’m talking about true resilience.

This isn’t the polished, motivational poster version of resilience. It’s the real version — the kind you find when you feel exhausted, confused, embarrassed, or completely overwhelmed, yet you choose to take the next step anyway.

Honestly, this year has stretched me. For a long time, one of my primary goals has been to build one singular, working online funnel. Not a dozen half-baked ideas or a graveyard of unfinished projects, but one system that actually works and serves people well. To get there, I had to ruthlessly simplify.

    The 2026 Focus Framework

In 2026, I simplified my focus to a three-part framework: One funnel. One mission. One course until successful. That’s it.

Over the last several years, I’ve invested countless hours mastering AI, websites, CRMs, automations, email systems, and copywriting. I’ve spent nights troubleshooting integrations that broke for no apparent reason. There were many moments when I wanted to walk away. But every week, I returned to the same foundational truth.

    Core Idea

Freedom doesn’t come from doing everything. Freedom comes from staying focused long enough to build something meaningful. My pursuit of freedom is multi-dimensional, spanning financial, health, emotional, spiritual, and business systems freedom.

While I didn’t hit every single target this past year, I realized that goals only sustain us when they are anchored to a deeper purpose.

    My Why

I exist to live free and to help others live free and fulfilled. For me, that freedom is deeply rooted in my relationship with Jesus. This foundation became essential a month ago when I walked through a deeply painful and humbling experience. I made mistakes and owned them, but I also faced hurt and misunderstanding that caught me off guard.

It was a stark reminder that many people are carrying hidden pain and unresolved trauma. This is why resilience matters more than mere productivity. We need the strength to stay focused even when the situation is messy.

    Waiting in the Hard

This week, I attended the Unconventional Business Network conference. I heard from a Major General (pictured above) regarding high-stakes decision-making, and former CIA operative Michele Rigby Assad, who served in some of the most dangerous places on earth. One phrase Michele shared hit home: “Wait in the hard.”

Sometimes clarity doesn’t arrive in a flash of lightning. Sometimes you simply have to take the next faithful step while the environment is still foggy. That is the essence of resilience.

    Coaching Insight

“Resilience is essential to focus.” Focus isn’t just about planners and calendars; it’s about having the emotional capacity to stay in the game when life gets difficult. Napoleon Hill noted that persistence is one of the greatest predictors of success, and I believe that holds true today.

At Fog to Focus, our mission is to help you follow one course until successful. We don’t aim for perfection, but for clarity and momentum. I often find that our greatest wounds point toward our greatest calling. The areas where you feel most attacked or tempted to quit are often the very areas connected to your purpose.

    Time Tip Tuesday Principle

Resilience is the ability to stay focused long enough for breakthrough to happen.

“The name of the game is to stay in the game until you win the game.” — Ryan Levesque
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9

Dream a little. Focus a lot. Lead yourself first.
